Our Mission

At poetryx.xyz, our mission is to ignite and sustain a global conversation through poetry. We believe that poetry belongs to everyone — it is not confined to dusty anthologies or academic journals. It lives in the way we speak, the way we grieve, the way we love. Our goal is to break down barriers between poet and reader, between tradition and innovation.

We are guided by three core principles:

• Accessibility — We create tools and spaces that make poetry easy to read, write, and share. No gatekeeping, no intimidation.
• Community — We nurture a respectful, vibrant community where diverse voices are heard and celebrated. Every poet has a place here.
• Craft & Experimentation — We honor poetic tradition while embracing new forms, multimedia poetry, and cross-genre work.

We also partner with local libraries, schools, and arts organizations in Indiana to bring poetry workshops and readings into the community. Our annual “Indy Verse Festival” has grown from a small gathering to a citywide celebration of spoken word and literary arts. We are committed to making poetry a tangible, daily part of people’s lives.
